torrents Vs Download sites

Who uses what, and what download speeds do you get?

I\'m using morpheus and can get up to 200kb a second, but averaging 70 nearabouts.

Does anyone use torrents and find its quicker?

bittorrent every time.. BT support \'multipeer threading\' so if there\'s say 50 sources of the file you want, even if they just have dial ups, you\'ll get 50x there max upload speed upto whatever your own bandwidth can handle. plus if any one of those peers switches off the torrent just goes elsewhere to find the mssing bits

my bandwidth at home is cack, but I\'ve got an 8meg DSL in my machester studio, and have had as much as 1000kbps

also depends what sites you get your torrents from as well

i recently started downloading torrents thro the shareaza program and have also had speeds up tp 200kb.but has seemed to have slowed down a bit.
depends on the torrent i think.

ive noticed a slowdown in the speeds but i think everyones sussed how to cap the upload speed i always use bittorent when i can and try for multi source but you cant wack limewire for single tracks that are hard to find

I agree ,bittorrent is great ,shame so many of the best sites have been closed down .

I've just started to use BitComet and so far had no problems with it (touch wood), always seem to get decent download speeds aswell.

I've started to use Limewire pro now.

I tip in how to get it...download Limewire for free, then do a search for limewire pro, download it, and you have it for nowt;-)
