Hats off to Mr Thompson, he is a man of many words and most of those mis-spelt, but very amusing all the same.
Smoking Ban......if this had been three years ago I would have been mightily dis-chuffed as I smoked then, but now I am happy that it has been banned. I was out on saturday and I came back smelling as if I had smoked 40 Capstan Full Strength.
Don\'t get me wrong there are times when I am out that I could quite happily nick a tab off a friend and smoke it whilst drinking a Large Jack Daniels and Lemonade, but I chose to give up just as I chose to take it up in the first place. But having worked in bar and grown up with parents working in bars aswell I can understand it from all angles.
I just wonder how they will police it.....so many bars and not enough policepersons.
Oh by the way I\'ve never smoked and I\'m well against it because it did kill both of my parents ( how much more of a reason could you need )
the way ive been smelling the day
you will regret it
hahaha
I will not be the only one who will feel this way Ell.....and whether it is a liked opinion it is my honest opinion.
Yes if this ban had happened three years ago I would have been pissed about it because I smoked....so what, I decided to stop smoking.....so what if I changed how I thought and feel on the subject, The simple fact remains that I chose to give up smoking and having worked in bars and having parents who never smoked and worked in bars (my mam now suffers with chest problems because of passive smoking)
I can see both sides of the arguement but I choose to back the side which is for the ban.
Sorry if this does not sit well with you but this is how I feel.
