Tragic incidents

Been out with friends today and as they know I fish, they were asking if I have heard of 7 lads on Roker pier who were in bother with one lad breaking a leg and another kid on Horden getting swept in and drowning. Hope to God that last one especially is wrong but anyone heard out?

Sadly both are true 15 traped on roker 1 with broken leg and father n son at horden father drowned bad times

I was reading about these incidents today on the bbc website! My thoughts are with the family of the lad who lost his life! Another harsh reminder to us all of how cruel and dangerous the sea can be!
