tramps

Unfortunately I don't get the chance to fish as much as I used to, but every time I do I'm confronted with what's left of some idiot's bait, line, crisp packets, tab packets, etc.... It's not big and it's not clever. Sadly though, I fear it'll get worse. At the end of the day it seems as though we're living in a society full of lazy little sh*tbags with no respect for their surroundings.

u lads need 2 stop pickin at lil stuff SO NON OF U HAVE EVER LITTERED BEFORE THE LOT OF U NEED 2 SHAPE UP AND FIND SOMETHINK ELSE 2 TALK ABOUT but thats just my poit of veiw

we arn't on about a sweet paper, a crab leg or even a little bit of worm, nobody is perfect. we are on about the a***holes who leave bagfuls of rubbish when when there are bins handy and peeing in front of people's homes. how would these moron or even yourself feel about people throwing their rubbish in the garden or peeing in front of the house everytime they pass!? thats what the residents at the walk way have to put up with 24/7 and they shouldn't.
and until someone has a solution to these problems, myself and many other anglers will show our disgust and contempt for these mindless morons, a***holes and w***ers until they eventually and hopefully take notice!!!! :(

mess

mess

well bob i fished with you all day yesterday and there was no mess from us
or stan and his lad

your right there and the other lads on the pier if a remember they not leave any as well just goes to show its not that hard to keep fishing marks clean

Aye,

I remember fishing the Nothumbria Quay in the 70's ( the area that is fenced off now just in front of Albert Dock Marina).

It was one of the best local marks, giving up scores of prime cod every winter.

Strictly speaking you weren't supposed to be on there at night but the 'Watchmen' turned a blind and often stopped by to share a flask of coffee or a 'tab'

This went on for years until some little scumbucket decided to climb the ladder and have a dump in the cab of the crane. That was the finish!

So there's nowt new about these mindless morons. In fact, the one's that's deein' it now are probably the progeny of the scumbuckets who perpetrated it then.

All we can do is attempt to clean-up after them when we get the chance, 'cos they never will - they are a lost cause.

Cheeors,

too many "posh" words (progeny for one) in this thread for it to make an impact I feel as their eyes will just glaze over in miscomprehension...

How about:

i was just along the walkway on thursday and there was a little bit of rubbish but nothing to complain about! i picked up a bag and some other rubbish that was lying near to where we were fishing just so we didnt get blamed for dropping the litter.......if you see it pick it up and 'bin it' and enjoy the fishing stop maoning about the litter!!!

rubbish scum

rubbish scum

sorry if making this thread drag on , a was on shields pier the day and got talking to a bloke out walking his dog and he mentioned there was a lot fo anglers fishing walkway yesterday apparently an angling club had a match there. he then went on to say he past there again the day and could'nt believe the mess that was left off yesterday, and to be left off angling club was a disgrace, if this true wat chance have we got if angling clubs are not cleaning up after themselves, they should setting an example.

in that case i wud suggest the angling club officials to stop behind to make sure there isnt a mess and maybe help to clear it if not mention it before a match on the day well pegged marks surely not a full pier

aye, probably because I picked it all up!
sorry to complain but I had this weird scenario in my head where some of the scum who leave their s**t on the floor read this thread and think about how their behaviour affects the rest of us... just a fantasy, like, but you never know. There's always hope..:)

What i think is , if they have no thought or sympathy when they are dropping all this crap then reading it on a forum is not going to change there philosophy on the matter.
I must admit there has been times when ive had the paper of rag worm blow away from me etc, but that is all unintentional and its happened to all of us at some point.
This argument rears its head every few months and people get into right strops with each other on the forum. Its wishful thinking to beleive that people will stop because we moan about it on a forum im afraid its just a way of the world and nothing is really going to change that.
Litter is one of my biggest pet peaves i absolutly hate seeing what should be pleasant recreational areas ruined by thoughtless vandals {thats what they are}. I even bought a boat to try get away from the undesirables that frequent our coastline aswell as the rubbish in those areas, but its just as bad out at sea.
The only way to combat this is with CCTV and a guy who hands out meaty fines to the culprits, nothing hurts more than being stung in the pocket.

I also hate it when im out jogging/walking and see people allowing thier dogs to sh!t everywhere without picking it up!! Mindless, winds me up!!!

if this is just cause for a licence how much are you willing to pay for someone to police these areas,£20 per year, year after £50, it will only keep rising and it wont stop the numbnuts from leaving there filth,i for one aint paying it not when these numbnuts will not pay there way,you carnt even have a quite word with them in case you are confronted with threats and verbal abuse ,you are no hero for having a go because they dont respect that either, they arnt going to repect anything because as has already been said the numbnuts were dragged up by numbnuts.
iv got the answer but my views are to politically / legaly incorrect.rant over.

i'm afraid it's not only happening on our piers and fishing marks but everywhere in our country, ever walked down one of our highstreets on a sunday morning after the pubs have turned out the night before, beruit springs to mind ,the litter and rubbish that affect all of us, is collectively a problem that we, like it or not have made, it's a big mess that all of us are responsible for in our throw away society, whilst i am not condoning the crap some fishermen leave behind it is only a very small part of the problem, there is a whole bigger picture here.

But sadly, in many cases, there's nee hope.
