Tried braid out tonight

I got a fixed spool and tried out some braid but I think it's to thick , the spool says 0.18mm 300m but I put 44lb 0.28mm on backed with a bit of mono and got down to the mono on casting . Would I be better getting a lower lb stain and using a mono shockleader to get more on ? I'm not to clued up on this braid

I found the same on my surfblaster mate so I switched to thinner braid and got 300 yards on

you best off using thicker the better mate then you can tell folk your a belter caster and you can empty your spool every cast,i know a few that does it ,atb plum

Get some Berkley Whiplash

Better using the mono spool with backing mate, you can get plenty of strong braid on then

Ah use Power Pro on ma 4 multi,s 50lb BS and 0.36Diameter used it for years now cheers James
