3 of us set off early friday. Made good time until we got held up on the A75 due to an accident, so time for a pitstop.

Arrived at West bay about 1830 as tide was on its way out, met with some great views, warm easterly winds and lovely flat sea.

Did a hour or two spinning after setting up camp, only one Pollack between us.

Few beers and an amazing clear sky to watch the metoer storm.

Early start and I tried fishing off the bottom but was too snaggy, so back to floats and spinning.
Plenty of pollack this time, nothing of any great size, maybe just over a pound, but great sport on light gear.

Had a break for bait and started again later in afternoon, managed to catch me first ever Wrasse, which made me day, then next few hours was fish every cast between us, Pollack and Wrasse again maybe up to a pound, with the odd rockling and goby in between.
