Just to keep you up to date on this......yep, there's been a bit of a delay - so the work scheduled for April didn't get started. However, below is a press release issued last week:
"Site investigation works are set to get under way at a Borough beauty spot next week.
The works are required ahead of the construction of a £1.7m coastal rock barrier at Trow Quarry, which will start next month.
The barrier will protect the coastline against erosion from the sea, and forms part of plans for the ongoing management of the coast in this area.
The Council's Head of Regulatory Services, Paul Walker, said: "The rock barrier scheme will involve the excavation of materials from the cliff face. Next week's site investigation works are an important part of our preparations for the scheme. They will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday and have been agreed with the National Trust, which manages the site."
He added: "Disturbance to local residents and coastal visitors will be minimal. Officers from our Environmental Health Service would be happy to discuss any queries they have.""
