Trow Quarry today

Fished Trow Quarry today with my son from 10.30am - 2.30pm not even a bite, dog walkers take the p*$$ a bit like don't they. One stubborn T**T decided he was going to stand right in front of our rod rest where we were fishing and throw a bottle in for the dog, bad place to fish on a weekend in nice weather.

Overall had a good few hours out with the lad and topped up the tan, shame we drew a blank and were constantly put upon by dog walkers. The lad hates dogs anyway, baits used were rag, macky and crab all coming back untouched.

Me and my mate were on the top. were you on the shelf at one point? yeah... nowt kicking like... did get a decent size plaice on a float like... hugged the bottem and the float just hovered 1 maybe 2 cm under.. so was hard to tell

Nah mate that was some bloke and his missus sunbathing on the shelf, we were hugging the rock at the far left of the cove, I seen you lads up there 1 of yas were spinning.? Lovely day but by god there is some eejits out there, BTW well done on the plaice.

your telling me mate, came from the pier cause I didn't want to know or find out how there shock leaders are tied lol. spinner, jellies, floating rag and even a sandeel i foul hooked... only got a nibble on rag.. fluke unfortunatly.Wish i packed some poppers though... I think it might of pulled summit cause nowt else worked.. Was a nice day for it like... bar todays lobster face lol

You mean they had shock leaders attached. LOL aye it was a scorchio like, been thinking of going along that stretch with the poppers for a while myself aswell mate. There has to be a nice bass somewhere along that stretch, it looks perfect bass territory.
