As for the species hunting, there are still another 8 months to go so I wouldn't be too downcast

Sounds like a good session and cracking photos.

Can I ask about raw prawn as bait? Not something I have ever tried, is it favoured by certain species

I find it works well for codling and whiting but not so good for other species.

many years ago in my teens I fished the large flat rock next to the old sewer pipe , Frenchman cove
I was told then it was called table rock had a cracking flattie from there.
is this anywear near this graham beach ? as I don't know my way around the area

Yes mate South end of the beach, fished there myself many years ago.
