Fished off the back of the rocks from 5pm till 8pm with a light spinning rod.
Straight into small coalie's and launce on a single spinner. Went quiet so tried with the float for about 45mins baited with strips of makeral but no joy. Back to the spinner, first cast striaght into a makeral. Put up a great fight on the light tackle, probably the biggest i've caught. Enjoyed it much better playing the fish from the rock edges than hauling it up and over the pier walls! Peace and qiuet, Not a charva insight and no rubbish. Ended up with 4 coalie's 16 launce (all returned) and 1 makeral about 2lb (kept for winter bait)
 
sounds like you had a good time mate iv been thinking of heading over that way to try for a bass but dowt i will catch 1 but i might give it a go soon
 
Yeah, was a good session. I'm after a bass as well. Never caught one before,
but that area looks like it might hold some.
 
same here mate they look lovely fish aswell there on the top of my hit list this year and next year till i get 1 :P. yeah the big beach and trow rocks are supposed to have some bass atound there but i dont think theres many, will need alot of patience to get 1 i would think. might head down there tomorrow and see what its like. if theres nothing there i might go to the pier
