Trow Rocks Wed 24/08/11

Decided to take Jr out for a couple of hours spinning from Trow Rocks, took a while to find a safe way down but managed eventually lol, weather was lovely! Jr cast in line with the breakers and i cast out to sea, only bite was my second cast and i brought a mackeral right to my feet almost before it broke free, Jr managed to snag his spinner on the only rock in front of him!! Typical, all in all we lost 3 spinners but made a nice change. Then the heavens opened and we made a hasty retreat to the car and realised my parking ticket had ran out nearly an hour ago, but luckily no ticket definately think ill try a dawn / dusk session down there soon if i can get the tides right, maybe even hook myself a bass with a bit of luck!!

i use to spin off there years ago ( probs about 10 ) and think i only ever caught from there a few times so started going back to the pier

I have blanked bait fishing trow rocks before, it looks a cracking place to fish though, gonna have to target a bass over low water there sometime it looks perfect for them.

was a couple lads fishing the first of the flood last week dunno if they got anything like as i didnt stay long

i normally spin from the south east corner, had a few makeral and lots of coalies in the past. Just park in the car park to the right of the bar, i've had no bother and its free
