Hi all
what a great success it was, the entry figure has been revised and i am pleased to say it was upwards. Because of this, with the raffle and money from the rod Bob auctioned it is etimated that just over £5,000 will have been raised.

365 fished, 123 weighed in 138 cod (many between 5-7lb) 130 whiting, 7 coalfish and 28 flatfish for a cracking 482lb 10oz

Never got to the weigh in so am not sure who got them prizes

Ian, re the raffle. I won the tin of biscuits mate (the prize everyone was after) Sorry mate, I\'ll keep you one if you want (ah, the sweet taste of success) :D ;)
 
Tony caught his fish at Newbiggin Cliffs area, dont mind results being posted anywhere else. I wanted that tin of biscuits for my grandson, he loves Homer Simpson.
 
cracking result £5000+ exellent ,well done to all those who made the scales as said noone lost with a result like that everyones a winner ;) nice one tim /alan and all those involved

Mr. Charlton I would have come and said hello but firstly you were busy with the wiegh in and I didn\'t weigh in and after that obviously you had your hands full ,wish I\'d recognised more of the lads from here I didn\'t have my sunglasses on so I looked a bit different oh and next time we have a comp we\'ll have to make sure the venue has more Brown Ale...
 
It was a pleasure to take part in such a big event even if I blanked :( well done Tim & Alan, your organising was brilliantly done & u deserve a big slap on the back for getting this thing done :cool:
well done to all those who stood out in the cold all night without a bite too! it was gr8 on the night for me & just nice to be able to wet a line :P
