hi lads n lasses do you reckon blyth pier is gonna be worth a shot at first light tues morn or do you think there might be a bit to much rainwater coming down the river just a dont want to cycle the 15 mile there to find its unfishable due to the dirty water cheers

Save yourself a canny bike ride steppeydog by Tuesday the river,ll probably look like bisto gravy and the macky,ll be on their bikes, getting away from the dirty rainwater

I thought the same about Shields pier after the last big rain we had, how far wrong was I. The morning I went down the see looked like oxtail soup but I had 30 odd mackerel by 7.30am. ;)

Im gonna give it a bash mate, probs have better luck with float then spins, had a quite look at the wansbeck when driving over it and it looked like chocolate haha! If you come I'll see ya, if not I'll let you know how i get on!

just got back in mate, fished the pier 430 til 9, few of the lads getting macky on floats, I gave up on spinning after a few hours and I didnt see anyone else get anyting on spinners/feathers, but I landed 3 flatties (2-5pounds) using mackerel strips fishing out towards south beach, so not a bad morning to be honest. the river had cleared up alot since last night. just debris in it not cloudy or anyting, twigs branches etc... hope you got something if you went
