had some bait leftover from weekend so decided to go down the tyne on my second cast I got a good bite and reeled in a nice codling it turned out to be the only bite I had .returned the fish to fight another day

seems a bit far up for that sort of fish? I stand to be corrcted though!

you can get cod as far up as scotswood mate at this time of year

Well done mate some more big tides rough weather and colder weather will hopefully see more colding up the river this year, as there was some good sport last year with them at st peters etc.

welldone mate,like the man above says , tides weather etc shud fetch some toppers in and a good north easterly or easterly gives them that extra push
