This past week I've had four short sessions fishing from various marks on the Tyne catching different species each time.

A few I've had from the mid Tyne area, codling to nearly 5lb, and quite a few around 2 to 3lb.

These fish go daft for peeler crab but you do need to use your head to locate them.

I had 10lb of codling in 3 hours today, looks like we have a spring run, finally!

Flounder from Hebburn and Jarrow, best 40cm.

Loads of eels to from the Felling area with sea trout jumping all over.

Good luck if you fish the Tyne, there are fish about but you may need to a put a little effort into finding them. Tightlines, Dave.

Yes very clean fish, been expecting them to come in for the crab peel and it looks like they've finally started to head right up river.

This weekend me and my buddy might be heading back to Roker as we had a great session last Sunday but I think we might give the Tyne a try now.
