Fished the river near gateshead stadium yesterday nowt decent but loads of undersize codling and flattie.All on rag and lug.couple of lads further up not sure if they faired any better....may try again in early hours for low water see if owt shows.

Well fared a bit better yesterday.Took my youngest down same crack again few well undersize codling for me and 2 size for him best at 2lb3 his other 1lb9.Thats three sessions with him getting the best size fish....would've stayed longer but the cold got the better of him.
