Tynemouth Beach sat.night

Fished Boiler Hole on Tynemouth Beach in perfect conditions with the sea dying away and a big low tide. Caught a 1lb 8oz fish early on and thought it might be a bumper night but then only managed one other codling. Returned the first, kept the second. A few others were fishing the beach and I think they had similar results. Bait was rag. lug and mussel. Lovely still, mild night so no complaints, and some canny fillets too.
