fished tynemouth longsands tonight, 8-11. an hour in caught a coalie just size and then another a little smaller, both returned. then had a good bite which resulted in another coalie 35cm which was deeply hooked and dead when i returned it so kept it.
went over to talk to a man and his son who were fishing next to the skeers and they had caught afew coalies and a coddling all undersize though. went back and reeled in to rebait and to my suprise there was a codling on about 1.5lb 42cm.
started to rain then had a birdsnext on multi so packed up and left at 11
