Tynemouth pier Good Friday

Fished the pier today from 5pm to 9:30 again with a nice big tide and and nice sea running from the north so expectations were good. Started off really well with a bite from the 1st 2 casts but not connecting into any fish. The tide started to push really hard and my rod got a very good pull down, picked the rod up and again another big pull and into a nice fish.
A nice clean 5lb cod came over the side and I was delighted to say the least nothing much happens after that. Although I did catch a small flounder at 27cm
Baits were yellow tails and blow lug

You have to be a member of one of the 4 clubs that fish the pier but you can only fish the clubs matches there's no keys or passes or anything when the pier closes its at your own risk wether you climb around the gate
