tynemouth sea fishing

Im from across the north west but im going to be fishing in the tynemouth area on monday 8th october. Could anyone point me in some good fishing spots around tynemouth beach as i dont know the area. Also what am i likely to catch at this time of the year and what baits are best (baits i will be taking are freshly dug lug both black and blow lug and also squid.) if someone could help that would be great.

If you are fishing low water it might be worth a look around the sh*t hill area on the map, fishing into the Kelp. Any questions then please just ask.

Are there boundaries to where you can or can't fish m8?

If not there are loads of shots within 30 mins drive. How you'd decide on the best one at the time I have no idea, I am rubbish.

Thanks m8s for the help so far.printed off the guides on website that you advised. would only be able to fish in tynemouth as wife is dropping us off before going shopping in newcastle. so if you could advise that would be great. cheers

Low water is 08:55 so I suspect you will be fishing over high water. I would try the north end of the beach and fish "The bottom of the stairs" or try the "Oxfauld" at the bottom of the ramp past the south end of the beach, by King Edwards bay.

The bottom of the stairs is mainly a sandy bottom with a few sandy gulleys and a very small chance of losing gear where the Oxfauld is a gulley running between the rock marks just next to King Edwards bay and running towards Tynemouth pier and a spot where you can lose a few leads. If you fish the Oxfauld there is a life bouy there, fish from there and aim to your right at about ten past.

If you can get hold of a few fresh or frozen peeler Crabs and some Mussel it would probably help your cause a bit too mate.
