Went out for a few hours on Friday night, headed up to blyth at about 11 ish and sea was like a pond, hardly a ripple. Had a few casts and bait was coming back in untouched. Spoke to a few lads that hadn't had a bite so went down to tynemouth to meet some mates, they ended up on the pier and I couldn't be bothered with the walk. Ended up just fishing the haven towards the rocks. Using rag, squid and mackerel. First cast got me a 2lb plaice. And it carried on like that for rest of the night. It got to the point I wasn't getting enough time to bait up my second trace before I was getting another bite on the one in the water. Ended up catching 17 fish altogether, with 10 of them in size, mix of codling, whiting and flatty's. Started packing up at about 4 as I had ran out of bait, thought I would pick up some of my old bait that was lying about and chuck it back in whilst I sorted my box out ready to go. As soon as I put my rod down got a bite. Just under 3lb cod. The fish where certainly hungry.

Mint session! Not very often the bait runs out.. Especially when catching fish, not feeding crabs.. Lol

Trying to locate some of those really thick black lug that are about 10" long
(STICKYS) I,M in KENT and dont mind having them posted to me i have seen plenty advertised on the internet but they seem to be the smaller ones
