messing about with the old reliable unitech tnite. quite pleased with acurracy and distance . seen many casters hit big distances with the lead seemingly inside the tip, as does the unitech. is this wrong or does it have limitations ?:confused:

no limitations will , it will go as far as you chuck it:rolleyes:

Best exponent of this style is PT.

Trying too hard too soon is a big problem to most.

2 limiting factors - the caster and the amount of line on the reel !!

use it all the time for fishing will dont bother swinging it goes just as far with bait, been using it since 86 after first back op[ doesen't hurt].:eek:

i was impressed by watching a group of n,e lads using the uni tech at the brid open years ago, and i use it myself. i,ve also heard that its a bit of a "tip snapper". can any of you lads tell me why if its so. i,ve taught it to some of the west cumbria lads who use it with good results.

it can snap tips if you put to much in to early due to the angle of the lead to the rod tip.

Firmer tip, parabolic rods seem to work better with this cast the drop length is very important in my experience

a nice safe cast that can hit very good distances and is not to hard to learn, great for fishing

i agree with tel if you try to hit it to soon it can cause untold damage:o:o you know what they say bill slow in fast out youv'e got to leave everything till the last minute let the rod do the work.:cool::cool:

ive used it for beach and pier work for years and aint broke a rod as yet.watched a video of a guy using a spring balance between the sinker and the leader and compared the bend in the blank ,took readings on the scales ,with the lead inside then outside the tip just laid on the deck.inside read more bend and poundage on the scales and ...less effort

nope havent seen a any snap either:eek::eek::eek::eek: seen some sinkers go straight up in air right above head :o:o:o
