hi all
well where we are going to keep the boat the tide can be quite fierce so we are looking at uptide fishing especially in the summer
anyone got any recomendations as for rod and reel for uptide fishing

was looking at a shimano beastmaster 6 to 10 oz and possibly the calcutter 700 series reels

Hi sean,

For uptiding I use a Penn 535 and a cut down Conoflex beachcaster for a rod.

My mates just bought the Greys Uptider and he says it\'s the best action rod for this type of fishing he\'s had the chance to use.

cheers for that i didnt even know that greys did one but will have to have a look at one before purchasing
