Hi All,
Managed to get out in the boat today and fished the inshore marks south of the Wear.
Fished all the ebb tide (prefer the flood) and ended up with 10 cod, best two fish 6 and 8lb.
All the fish were caught on frozen black lug tipped with peeler, and using pennel pulley rigs.
Fished the same inshore marks on Tuesday and caught 14 cod to 4lb using the same baits and rigs, fishing roughly 400yds off the beach with the anchor down.
Hope to get some good good days in over the hols, weather permitting !!!!!!!!!!.

Dave

Hi Norman,
Yes its good to get home for the hols and get some fishing in.
What about yourself do you not bother in the winter, there are some good days to be had out there when you get the weather. The crew were wanting to have a run up to St Marys for a change of scenery, but not seen any reports for that area.

Hi Dave, been down to marina today but it`s totally Iced over,I would have run the engine up (after checking the water pies and pump were not froze :) - Rich) but couldnt even get in the cabin door as there was frozen snow everywhere.

Nice catch report, Codseeker been doing well from the shore from that mark.

I tried winter fishing a few times from the boat and not found it fun so our days it gets stripped down until March :)
