USB WiFi

Want to go online with the Wii but am loathe to pay for a full wireless router if I can get away with a usb wifi thingamajig

anyone ever used one? would I have to buy a nintendo branded one or would any one work?

as long as you've got summats that is broadcasting Wifi it'll work. The bairn is online all the time with the wii, doesn't have to be a nintendo anything, used our bt router, d-link, netgear and even my iPhone as a wireless access point and it works with them all

if you do get it online, worth downloading the bbc iPlayer app for the wii, costs nowt and works really well on the telly

I got excited when you said you'd set up your iPhone as a WiFi access point...set about googling if I could on my C905...not a chance

going to take a gamble on an eBay jobber...USB WiFi dongle scrinson for about £8 inc P&P
