Just bought a load of velvet crab to use tonight

Was just wondering how they are to be presented as in same as you would a peeler with elastic or any other methods as ive never fished with them before

Any advise is welcome and will be appreciated

Use them the same as peeler.
They don,t fish very well around here mate,i have tried fresh and frozen velvet peelers from the shore and done nowt with them and a lot of my mates say the same.
Yet in North Wales the Bass go daft for them.....

R wey al give them a blast an see how they fare probs just a waste of money like
Pound a crab you nar

have you lads had a spliff:O? ... velvets are dynamite where i come from. id gladly do a swap of 2 normal green peelers for a proper velvet peeler.

but remember all bait is no good if the conditions arnt right and there aint any COD infront of ya.

hi mate use them the same as peeler but will be honest sorry they are no where near as good dont have the scent and if they are frozen will fall apart from my experience never had a bite on them when everything else worked :(:(

i cant see a cod swimming past a velvet crab to get to a normal peeler crab.
peeler crab is good but i thinks its over rated.. cant beat lug worm in all forms if you ask me

Not bad lads fished the pier sea was flat took a dab on crab n mussel nowt else touched
