Hey guys I'm thinking of giving ss pier a go soon just want to know wheres the best place to park if you intend on staying after 10pm? also does the beach there produce many fish? And also whats roker piers beach like for fishing?

when you say roker pier beach, do you mean the beach between the pier and the ratty (the bay) if so it can fish well when theres a dying sea on but very kelpy at distance

Hi Mate, for SSP car park just park in the pier car park, first bays on your left as you go in are outside the barrier so you don't get locked in.

cheers, yeah I mean that beach or the other one the opposite side of the pier, Also do you guys know if crimdon dene beach is worth a go near hartlepool? I've tried to find info on it and theres very little out there.

Never fished crimdon for a few year it's under fished had some good bags out down the years not big fish but good take home size if you live local it's good idea to keep an eye on it at low tide because the sand banks and holes change from time to time it is a low tide shot you've got to be carefull cos your fishing in between two sandbanks at mainly the best marks and you can get cut off if your not keeping an eye behind you will see this if you check it out a couple of times fish in the dark dont need huge casts just fish in between the bars fish the pony field which is a stables now and park there never get much bother walk straight onto the beach so the stables are behind you next best mark is the clayhole maybe a good 500yards to your right opposite the golf club but like I say there's holes all the way down if you keep an eye then the next is the storm
Drains another few hundred yards down the beach used to really enjoy fishing
There nice clean beach fishing makes a change from falling all over the rocks

the beach to the left of roker pier always through s fish up alot of lads fish it to wards low water fishing 400 500 yrads up the beach is not a bad spot ? if roker pier is open and there is a little bit of a bump go as yh walking on count the life boys on yh right and fish oppersit the 3rd one 70 yrds will do and that always gives fish at the right conditions

ya reet mate are you talking about the barrier if so it can produce some good fish when conditions are rite
