Have already read the various threads about waders and have decided I'm gonna get a pair...

However I'm a tad confused...neoprene isn't water proof...or at least my wetsuit made of the stuiff isn't....am i missing a trick?

Neoprene waders are waterproof or you woudlnt be able to wade with them lol

i swear by the greys studded neoprenes they are of the highest qaulity but quite expensive sure some other people will give views on others makes had snobees once they wernt too bad either.

Problem is that neoprene is'nt as tuff as the ocean type waders and the seams can go,and they're awkward to repair. Biggest benefit is that neoprene waders are very warm.

neoprene isn't totally waterproof, if you stand up to your nads for hours in water they will eventually let water through, just like a wet suit, but for rock fishing they are perfect in the winter as they are a great insulater and will shed water pretty well. they are usaully 5mm neoprene as well which a a comparison with wet suits puts them in the semi-dry category of wet suits.

they greys ones are the mutz nuts IMHO though, toasty warm in the winter. I like the felted sole ones, not as hard wearing as studded, but gibe your tootsies a bit extra insulation

you have answered your own question,as you said you have a wetsuit thats why it aint waterproof drysuits are water proof

i have diawa neoprene waders, very warm, water tight had for a while now with no complaints

Cheers for the input lads :D

Will just have to see what Frasers have to offer...

My lass is going to take some convincing, when I turn up later with a rubber pair of trousers :o, that this site really is about fishing LOL :o;):D

just bought a pair of Grey's studded neoprenes last week, used them on the same day and they are as warm as toast and very comfy. £100 from ian's place in morpeth with my 10% discount = £90.
i have worn neoprene snowbees for the last two years and the warmth in the grey's is much better

cheers
mark
