Walkway 01/03/11

Had a good few hours out today, fished from about 1030 til 1530

I picked up two bags rag and two lug on the way from Frasers. Also had some of that licolnshire bait ltd crap as well (I know, should have read about it before buying).

Went with two rods and at times I was bringing one in and getting bites on the other.

Started with a double of Flounder and codling, then continued just about every cast with either small codling or whiting. (even got a starfish?)

All went back in, though I was tempted to keep one of the bigger Whiting's.

First time I have fished there, I was right on the corner, facing the Groyne, lost a couple of weights to snags, and one birds nest :red:

Dunno mate, I'm hopless at guestimates!! about 90-100yds?

I must have been in some kind of channel/ridge as I could tell when reeling in.

Canny days fishig for you gary the bigger fish is a coaley decent one at that m8. Think a might have a few chucks on the walk way this weekend a normally fish further down next to the bin, the young un always seems to do well there too.

Pleasant place to fish on a sunny day even if the fish are'nt big. It's good to be kept busy. Good report.

For me ...the Ground is about the same...you can lose gear quite easy on the walkway in general.

Silly question where is the walkway from north pier...The walkway on the peir itself? Or bottom level ,ramp?

North Pier?? You mean Tynemouth mate? Other side of the river directly opposite the fish quay.
