Due to havin kids on the sat night I missed the westoe match which started at 8, so with plenty bait finally persuaded the young un to go down to the walkway for a few casts. Got to mark for about 13.00 the tide had just started to ebb, got the lads gear set up first and let him take control of the short range. Whilst I concentrated on the long range. After a few casts I'd brung two fine specimen coalfish( 6 ") and the lad had nowt, thought I'd won the day :-). Until the bairns rod bent and sprung back up, which then developed into gud solid knocks. Told him to strike and wind in, after a gud scrap a very plump 1lb 13oz 40cm flounder was lifted over the rails and onto land. Obviously he got grounded for winning on the day :-) :-)

Yes lads I was well and truly turned over off him, not bad at all for his 4th time fishing. I'm hopin its beginners luck ha ha.
