hahaha if only the big cod in the river bit as hard as you lads on here then yas would all be breaking records.

never mind il have to send me mate wilson up and the rest of the hpool codders. he will catch it like last time with the 27lber :):):)

il tell him to bring his float outfit with a jar of muscle ;)

seal pup . shuda stuck a 6 ounce grip lead in its nappa. :p

What a nasty remark:mad::mad::mad:, why say such a horrid thing or be an idiot like that, it just gets you and like another member said us other anglers a bad reputation.:(

It stands to reason that if theres seals around theres fish around, as they wouldnt be there for nowt else.

On the last two occassions when I had fish of 4lb 5ozs and 5lb 2ozs there were seals around... stands to reason this is a good and proper theory... if theres seals about, theres fish about too...;)

calm down andy lad, no need to get all excited over your couple of codlings.

i couldnt care less wat other people think about me. it was a bit of crack and i got loads of bites of people on here:)......

ha ha ha .

get down the river theres a big cod in there. hurry up bfor john wilson comes up and catches it like he did last time :)

It was ne seal am tellin ya it was a fish
If it was a seal it wuda hung around which it didnt

We fished the Groyne the same day and something huge flipped in the water only about 6 feet out from us. It was definitely a fish not a seal. Just caught a glimpse of the tail end of it as it went down. It was like when you just see the Sea Trout in the summer where you don't see them jump but you hear the splash and see them just go back in the water. Much too late in the year for one of them I reckon.
It was only when I read this post that I remembered about this.
May have been the same one.

Possibly cuda been the same fish who knows it was great to see a fish like that in the river
(LOBSTERMAN) why on earth would you comment to get people to bite

Lets hope it turns up on somebodys line

While we were down the walkway on tuesday we were about to pack up i hoyed about 10 mussel in the water
And a couple of minutes later a fish surfaced possibly for mussell or whatever anyway it was a cod and it was massive

It lay about the top for a few seconds and a got a good look at it and being honest the fish was about 20lb my pal simon and david both saw the fish aswell
Only ever known of this happen once before by the copthorne although the fish wasnt as big as this monster

Are you sure it wasn't just rolling around in pain from eating an iffy muscle:D:D I believe ya, i saw a cod about 7lb under the jetty at Blyth when I was a nipper.

Seen a similar sized fish at Ice house a few weeks back.
Got a good look at it and it was def a fish, but was hard to tell colour coz of colour in water, but it sat just below the surface for 3-4 seconds then seen us and went down..
I wasnt the only one who seen it either, it was masssssive.

Glad you find comfort in someone else's misfortune, just goes to show how low you can go and what type person you are...

Go back to WSF and keep your troublemaking on there where you do it most
