before i started fishing again i use to go there regular to see whats been caught and from what ive witnessed its better the last couple hours of the flood but having said that ive also seen a few good fish been caught the last hour of the ebb and first of the flood
but i think the last of the flood has more caught
I was there on Thursday morning on the ebb for 3 hours from 10am till 1pm, I think 1pm was low tide. I came home with 5 good sized whiting, caught a good flounder and a massive 1lb edible crab (I thought I had a decent fish on) all on frozen macky, the crab and flounder went back to live another day.
fished there Sunday all the way down the ebb and 3 hours up,into fish every cast on both states of the tide, only whiting but better than nowt, some nice fish amongst them.........no two tides the same in the Tyne though so nothing guaranteed, just got to go for it and give it a shot
