Walkway today.

Well, headed along the walkway about dinnertime to catch a bit of fresh air and try out a rod I picked up from Davey-M, cheers mate it worked a treat!!

Got there just as Pete from Shields went flying past on his mountain bike and set up exactly in the spot I wanted

First cast with the new rod and a horrible birdie.... had totally forgot that I had just re-spooled the reel and the line was far from settled lol Snag... lost gear.... lets try again I thought!

Got the new rod out and set up my old trusty rod....

Old rod struck first with a just on size whiting.... sent it back to grow a bit bigger though...

Took a half dozen whiting mostly around size and a couple of flounders all went back swimming....

Had a quick chat with Lenny needs a fish and Pete from Shields on my way home, nice to put a face to the name! Couple of hours in the sun, free summer mackerel as bait and new rod finally got off the mark, decent day out!

hahaha, you must know Pete well! Yes mate he was infront of the steps with Lenny... I headed a bit further along towards the boats.... just glad to get the new rod off the mark! Also managed to speak with an old fella who lives in one of the bungalows facing the walkway.. nice old guy and had a canny chat for 30mins.... pity the knacker who damages the cars isnt as nice as him!

LMFAO, sorry for nicking ya spot mate lol, the bloke along from me was in the spot I wanted haha. We caught nowt in the hour after you left and nowt was pulled in by the other fella next to where you were, those fellas with the kids next to me and Lenny were letting the kids drink there cider, I couldn't believe it.

Nee worries Pete ;-) First come first served! Yeah the lad next to me was off the rigs and fancied a trip out in the nice weather.... sods law! We should have all swapped spots around lol.

Will have to head out with you and the youngster sometime and show you how its done! (Not Lenny of course, he will wup both our asses if the reports are anything to go by lol )

At least yer got a few fish mate. big mistake forgetting about the new line like but a bet that won't happen again. When I was at 42 on saturday and just packing up a guy wizzed up on a one of them elecy scooters, didn't know it was there until he hoyed the anchor on, thought it was a hit Anyway he said he can get from harton to ss and back on one charge, cost of the thing was about £700 notes i think. Just saying like as if you had one you may have beaten pete to the mark

Aye I was a bit hacked off that I had forgotten about the re-spool.... certainly wont be doing it again lol. Was the only blooming lead I lost all day aswell, typical.
