Headed down the walkway about 4pm. Two rods, baits were fresh blacks, blow lug and mackerel. Whole place was empty... Not a good sign I thought lol.
anyway, tide was about slack water and chucked out the first bait. Set up my second rod and the first one was going bananas. 40cm codling first chuck. Not a bad start. Managed another out about 35cm a few casts later then a whiting the same size. It then went dead.... Totally dead lol. Had a couple of smaller tommys out a bit later before Andyco turned up. I was sat winging on about not having seen a flattie caught at the walkway in months and specifically dabs as there are usually loads of them... Anyway, wound in to rebait and found a nice little dab sat on the hook! Talk about making me look like a fool! Haha. Few other small bits but nothing to write home about. All in all not too bad, started promisingly but died a death once the tide started to flood. Whiting kept for tea and all other fish returned.
