Great morning fishing the last of the ebb at Warkworth Beach with my boy Bob who has enjoyed some carp fishing in the past. The flounders were around in numbers, including this bigger one just shy of 30cm. Fun on braid, and caught about 15yards out.

Tried out the homemade flattie disgorger that I saw on here a few weeks back - worked a treat. No lost hooks, no injured fish. Makes flattie bashing much more fun. Wonder if Bob'll be ready for freezy cold cod fishing come the winter?? ;)

Cheers all.

Glad the disgorger method is working for you, its so quick and simple. I always carry a few in my box now and give them away to who evers fishing next to me, everyones amazed at how well they work. No doubt save countless fishes lives !

The thread is in the Shore Section. Youz have probably seen it by now - Micky Quayle first posted, I think. They're easy to make and work every time on deep-hooked flatties...

... Ha ha, Davy! - I think his Mam might keep him off the rock-edges for a couple more winters yet, but we'll see... Hope to get back to fish some BOTAC matches this winter. All the best :D
