sailed from amble at 8am.wind state meant it was always going to be a "ground day"
stopped not to far from home,straight into fish,mainly 2/3 lb stuff,many of which were
returned to fight another dayeventually this particular pot of gold dried up,producing nothing but undersise fish
a move of a couple of miles brought a change in fortunes,and fish size
fisrt fish over the rail was an 8.5lb codling for TIM MCVITIE who can only be described as delighted,especially as this put the £50 kitty within his reach:exclam:
more decent 5lb + fish followed as well as the usual smaller stuff.
a resiliant TIM held onto his lead and pocketed the cash
total tally for the day
11 well happy anglers:exclam:saturday surprise was 1 solitart mackarel
baits used were rag squid prawn flowing trace/shads day lights black/pink hokkis
some good size fish and a mackerel that slipped past the Icelandic trawlers...
