Waterproofs

Alreet guys, im after some new waterproofs for the new winter season. Ive had some Anyfish Anywhere gear for the last 2 years but theyre a bit tattered and leaking like a seive now(nowt to do with our lass washing them of course!)
Was wondering if anyone had any good ones to recommend, i'm looking for something lightweight, i.e not a floatation suit. Cheers!
 
Jamie have been told imac are alright, few lads in westoe club had them now for few years and they seem o k and not heard any complaints from them. shotton out out of your club has just bought some from rutherfords bout £110 area and am thinking about getting the top as a need a new one myself
 
Greys Apollo seem pretty good - got a jacket last winter & it's great, thinking about getting some of the trousers as well. Also got a couple of the GRXi jackets; they're a lot more expensive but very warm & light & have great hand-warmer pockets - they go great over neoprene chesties, particularly the short one, for wading out onto those rock marks without your pockets filling with water!

greys and u can wash them and still stay waterproof.had mine 3 years and just starting 2 leak in round the neck and shoulder area.ive waterproved them now and they r brand new.my titan gears lasted 1 year b4 they were knackered,but were the warmest gear ive ever owned.greys r well waterproof but not warm

you mean imax? cos i have the set and there ****e crap they wear out so easily, going for an All in 1 Fladen Suit this year and a teddy bear suit me not gettin cald:cool:
 
I got the Greys Apollo jacket. Great coat it is, very waterproof and windproof, but doesn't keep ye warm mind. I have had mine in the washer on a 30 degree wash several times and its still waterproof. Only trouble with it I find, is that its only half length. Could do with a three quarter length one to keep the wind off me arse.
 
Always worn Titan clothing:thumbup:,onto my second set& a third under the bed as spare.The first set was still that good I gave them to my youngest son. The smock,storm jacket & bib'n'brace have never let me down keep me very warm and dry:).If washed correctly and re-proofed they last that bit longer.
 
yeah i meant imax ( sorry a cant spell ) honestly been told they are good and waterproof but if thats the case a will have rethink cos have had greys and only waterproof for about a year and slowly but surely started leaking and keep hearing mixed reports about titan so those are out .

well i might just go after set of viking waterproofs ( can anybody remember them ) those did keep you dry but were cold and used to make you sweat if had a lot of walking to do and with not being breathable like the modern ones got foisty inside and had to give them a good airing every now and then to stop the foisty smell but they sure kept you dry

Whey good luck m8 dont know many good makes out there like but i wud go & have alook in fishing shops etc try em on even.. but im going on ebay for the all in 1 fladen suit costs over £100 in shops ebay £79.00 and brandnew.. getting lots of stuff this month myself.
 
Thanks for the feed back guys, has anyone tried the Mustad gear? I read an advert for the bib n brace and jacket for £70 but unsure as dont know anyone with them.
Quite fancy the Greys gear, ive got the chesties that would be keeping me warm enough so them with the jacket would be ok. Still need the bib n brace for on the cliffs n piers though.
 
like richie says lots of different styles out there and every one got their own favourites.a mate of mine got the mustad, warm, comfortable,and fairly durable but the reckons leaks on the zip .

i have the greys apollo smock, was on blyth pier few days ago rain was stotting down only at shirt underneath kept me bone dry,
in the winter i wear a fleace with it keeps me warm and dry well worth the money
going to invest in the trousers to go with it :thumbup:

there you go jamie wont matter if they leak cos your bound to **** yourself again going down the rope hahahahaha!
 
I almost always wear my Greys smock, I hardly bother with my flotation suit any more. I also have the Greys fleece but have only worn them together a couple of times as I find just normal clothing or sometimes a light fleece will do unless it is really cold.

to right they are rubbish my trousers and jacket were worn and leaking within 14 months and at £99 thats crap
