hi my father in law bought a boat last year,its got all the gizmos ie fishfinders etc,wel soon be going out on it,does any1 know where any good wrecks are,we launch from south sheilds boat club,cant wait to get amongst the biggens ha ha

there is a book from shields library called wrecks off the north east of england coast it has loads of wrecks in close in and far off

As well as gear like GPS and sounders, make sure you also carry all the necessary safety gear. There’s lots of good advice about what to carry on the RNLI website. There’s also a website listing many wrecks but you have to pay a fee to join – let me know if it’s any good

I can share details of a few other wrecks in the area if you send me a PM and promise to report back any progress.
Also, don't miss fishing the rough ground early in the season.
