had a go at getting the boat out today (mon 23/8) tides great 4 pm high tide good for us, having to launch from Whitley Bay Boat House, up early well 10.30am (early enough) planned for a 1pm launch- 3 hours before high & 3 after is the best time to launch, you dont have to drag the bloody thing 1/2 way down the beach,the same comming back, then Mr rain showed his face & e F1= ed things up, now I dont mind the rain but it was well damp, infact very very damp I/we have an open boat & didnt fancy a soaking so we retired to the local for a few consolation pints, also heard the RNLI were out something about a boat stuck on rocks off W/Bay hope all is well & no one hurt, going to try tomorrow, but the weather not looking to good ,,, fingers XX cheers

There’s a few lobsters showing out there if you still put your pot out for them, mine had three in yesterday and is out there now. The boat on the rocks was someone else pulling a pot in who got a bit too close to the shore. RNLI lifeguards and volunteers team up to help stranded fishing boat in North Tyneside

thanks Mick ,, the boat is kept on the boathouse its self, its very cheep to keep it there, its just a bit of a pain launching, its on a trailer, and depending on the tide we wheel it down the beach into the sea, sometimes the sand is very soft, thats when it becomes a pain, the wheels bog down into it, also if thers been a storm it can scoop away the sand making the beach quite steep, the boat isn`t light plus the weight of the trailer its quite heavy
