Got to take my lass to sunderland this thursday,she been naughty girl speeding and got to go on speed awareness course.Anyway get back to the point, iam taking here there so have few hours to kill, thought bit flatty fishing.The tides smallish high about 13.15,so its going to be the ebb,probably not the best i know,so any ideas lads???Bearing in mind have never fished the wear before so will need approx directions cheers.

hello mate. easiest fishing is probably the enterprise park, google it and you'll see a concrete lump sticking out into the river. fish off this, casting straight out. use grip leads as it makes a massive difference. fish macky strip, or rag, or crab.
you can park right next to where you're fishing. hope this helps, aky.
 
my m8 fished there today on the ebb he had plenty sport half a dozen flounders and coalies fresh and frozen crab ,rag and mackerel tipped

as advised by the guys ..spot on marks to kill time ...or 5 mins drive from where they do the course is roker pier......btw the course is boring ....more boring than waiting for cod in july from roker pier....it is four hours long escaping it ....i spent my four hours there thinking of cod fishing ......

Looks like am guna give the above a go,could i fish it with a carp type gear,or will i need my beach gear because of tide pull,and type of bottom???
