Just wondering what weather forcast is the best, or closest to actually what happens, cos it looks crap this weekend, just wondering if theirs a better forcast than the BBC? cheers

with the BBC you may as well open your window and stick your head out and see for yourself - they tend to say it's going to be windy/rainy/hot/cold just to make sure they're not "wrong"...

...possibly a throwback to the Michael Fish balls up in '87?

"Earlier on today, apparently, a woman rung the BBC and said she heard there was a hurricane on the way... well, if you're watching, don't worry, there isn't!"

:D

Try a combo of XC Weather and Tynemouth Surf Report on Magic Seaweed and lookign at the webcams

or of you want the worse case scenario forecast try Met Office ;)

thanks

thanks

cheers TGW a bit complicated for a simpleton like me, will have to take a crash course (or should that be a sink course) in reading weather forcasts, would love to have one that said "take the boat out" or "dont take the boat out" and it was accurate,,Im lucky, I live about 200yds from W/Bay beach so normally I just walk down & have a look, its trying to work it out for a few days ahead so I can take time off work or an early finish as well as the lads, nothing worse than 3of us taking the day off work & ending up in the pub all day cos its to windy, then again at least the day isnt wasted..

I would say it is a no this weekend.

Met office best for the wind and the direction as gives the gusts and right most of the time
xc weatehr good for the direction also but waste of time with the gusts as it gives untrue wind speed.
TV waste of time, look out the window.

It is all guess work, we can fake putting men on the moon but cant tell the weather 24 hours infront ;)

now now rich be careful, thats an awful big can of worms you have in you hand there .................... moon.... fake .... etc .... :)

by the way , for what its worth I predict, (and it`s really a mixture of abovementioned forecasts along with knowledge of their errors in the past)
Saturday will be just fine in the morning although a little windy (westerly so it'll flatten the sea nicely) until about lunchtime when the drizzle will come over with more wind ....... but by that time we'll have been out ther for over 8 hours so it dont matter :) :) :D

maybe a good sunrise against a flat horizon in the morning, if the cloud keeps clear! fingers crossed :)

Another good site is Windguru, it gives wind speed/direction and also wave height/direction. hope you get a mornings fishing Norman & crew before it turns.:)

Yer your right Norman until about 10-11 am is looking fine but no good fior me as only been out 2 hours by then so day watching the England match awaits :)

Well good luck lads, i just got up now 12.30 so not sure what the morning weather was like :) that cod shoal will stll be about am sure :)

:D (for the fishing)

XC Weather forecast totally spot on for all weather/conditions/wind forecast for the day thus far too ;)

...off to grab a quick hours kip before beers and BBQ this savvy :D

Have a Good Bankers w/end all :)

reports up there now Tone :D all I can say is "phew ......", "what a days fishing !"
and I hope no one was put off by any dodgy forcasts ........ cos what a belter day it was (early bird and all that anyway)

I got Slinky out next week (well, for as little of next week as possible) so may well see you around marina.
Weather looking possible all week so I'll be pulling the stops out to get done and dusted ASAP :)
