weather

If your stuck and the weather bad at sea just drop me a text as i be nothing else lol.

Only May and some of the days at sea and size of fish is great 20lb ling, 26lb cod, days on private boats hitting that shoal of codling going up and down our shore, mackerel mid-May cod and ling in ok numbers from wrecks.

I was going to put the boat up for sale in September but may keep it until end of Oct at this rate :)

Have you got your eye on something Rich, I remember you too were looking at an Ocquteau?

I sold my little seahog at the start of the year and was amazed at the amount of interest. Speaking to the brokers, they all said early spring was their busiest time and the ebst period to sell, with people wanting to buy a boat in advance of the season getting underway so they had preparation time.
We were fortunate enough to be able to buy the new boat at a quieter time of the year then sell the seahog once the new boat was delivered. I was a bit disappointed it sold so quickly although it kept my wife happy. I wanted to keep it a while and trailer it across to Scotland for a session or two.

I got Slinky out next week (well, for as little of next week as possible) so may well see you around marina.
Weather looking possible all week so I'll be pulling the stops out to get done and dusted ASAP :)

norm

You should have pulled her out the water when the marina lock was under repair. I'm off next week too, for the children's half term. If you need any help let me know and I'll pop down if free. I could paint your prop some bright colours for you ;)

all ribbing and banter aside it's best (I've found) to take a few different sites into consideration when trying to make a judgement on the weather and that includes Met Office ;)

since I got back into fishing (and even more so since I started going on the boat) I check the weekly forecasts almost daily throughout the year...

It is just like a car you always wnat to upgrade.

I have my eye on 3 types of boat

Ocqueteau 625 with the 105bhp volvo engine
Beneteau 620 with 115bph engine nanni
Jeanneau Merry fisher 635 105bhp volvo engine

All 3 would do nice but all three would mean the sale of Stingray and a further £15,000 in cash.

Going to have this season out, give Stingray a full service and clean down then put her up and see what happens. The down side is means if i sell her and nothing comes along i may run the risk of starting the new season with out a boat.

Nice boats Rich, I am sure any would do the job.

I have been looking at the weather for tomorrow (Monday), and I think it is a no no, but thouught I woiuld ask here incase someone knows better?

Cheers,
Geoff
