Weather

looking at the charts that look like its the weather set till sunday, backing 4 50 by sunday afternoon, not looking the best unless it drops very quickly on sunday. Still time though, and it\'d be the first time they\'ve got it right it stays that way

Ever the optimist I\'ll go with the beeb

I think we may be ok for the comp showing windy saturday but strong westerly for sunday which will knock the sea off.

this one

shows monday at midday with the low over us just developing which will mean no wind just hope the sea does not get up on saturday this one shows the wind from the southwest at about 15mph so should not be too bad.

Bearing in mind though that they forcast 23mph winds today with a moderate sea and it was slight anything can happen.

I have lokked at 4 websites and all four have said the total opp to the others lol, so i think its a case of get up and see for yourself kind of weekend :)

I am heading down shields pier at 3pm today so ill give you lot some idea as to what the sea is like.Looking out my window i would say over cast with a 10mph south east wind.

Aye Rich, your EXACTLY right 100% mate, lets get up on Monday and see how it looks , Sunday pm will give an indication.

Weather does not have a clue at the moment.

Anyway catch report and see state report...had 3 hrs on south shields pier today and only caught 10 sandeel but there the first i have had this year so its a start.

Sea state...well when i got there at 4pm the sea was smooth and the wind was a light 10mph sw.During the time i was there it had picked upto about 20mph and is now blowing from the north east. It might be worth poping out but i cant see anyone being out long as the rollers had started on the beach byt he time i had worked down the pier.

Monday is lookin the best with easterly tommorra and a strong westerly sunday then westerly 1-4mph on monday. If the sea has dropped off will be good as the wind induced drift will be minimal.

So if the weather men/split arses keep on there track record you can turn what they said around and it will be the total opp lol. They have bee shocking mind the last 3 weeks, cant think of a day they got it right.

The Boys was out early this morning, it was a bit of a bumpy ride!!! and that was before the wind picked up!!

Every time we get a new crew member they seem to have lost a friend??

The lad kept hanging his head over the side and calling out for someone called Huey!!!

I almost took the opportunity to shout for my old mate Ralph, but managed to resist!!! :D They\'ll make a boat angler of me yet! even managed to contibute a few cod this week :D

ps

The Lads are here!!! :D :D

It was Scull\'s mate from work, he got loads of sympathy, NOT!!

He did say he felt much better afterwards, so I was tempted, but knew I would never live it down.

We managed 12 cod, 24 mackeral & dozens of scotchies between us, we came in about 9.30am before it turned really nasty.
