Hay am only in my 2nd season of owning a boat myself just mean i consider the 1st day of the season when the 1st fresh mackerel is landed, cut up and dropped down to produce a nice plump fish..my biggest fish so far is 5lb
Boat season starts late march to April from all the normal rough ground marks and there has been some days everyone has bagged up and 2 blankers for me also lol
Looks like shovels will be more use than boats for the next week or so , all my weather sites are showing no end to the easterlies in sight .... Bit of gardening maybe? Or maybe I should spend some time learning how to take a decent photo and how to post it on here lol.
Any word on the mackerel yet then? the east winds may put them back abit but 4 days from now this time last year i landed them from the boat, them big boys not far behind them, mouths open and ready for some fresh oily fish
