went down st peters monday few bites but nowt t get excited about then pulled in a 6 inch purple nd brown fish god no wot it is haveing trouble uploading pic any help

i put my money on it being a viviparous blenny... fair few in the tyne these days, sign of good water, give birth to live young hence viviparous.

worked in and out of the fish industry for 30 year and ive never seen one of those it certainly non of the previously mentioned species .....
could well be a non native species thats been thrown in the river or flushed from a ships balast tanks and so how survived .....

I'm just waiting for "someone" to say it was washed up on the beach and you put a hook in it's mouth and claimed the capture! lol
