Winters almost gone, looks like it`s about time to start the boat season.
I hear tell there`s a party booked at St Marys for next weekend (a cod party that is) and I`m inviting myself LOL :) :) :)
Been to the boat the past few weekends and bit by bit got things ready --- a new battery, a new light , a new aerial, sanded and teak oiled the gunwhales, sorted the hundreds of hooks and lures into seperate bags, oiled the reels (and Ians LOL) dusted down the rods .......... woooo hooooooo won`t be long now ................... hows the boys coming along bert? anywhere near yet?
 
Had a look at Dolly today Dave .... seen all looked as if it were finished , is the next service going to take as long :)
 
The lads are making canny progress Norman, woohhooo cannot wait!!! Yeeeehhaaaaa!!!!!

I\'m hoping for a double double ling :D

Lets hope we get some better weekends (weather wise) than last year.
 
Yeah, Keith it`s not been good weather, even though it`s not bee too cold a winter its always had some east in the wind .....
roll on maybe 2005 will be a good un, cant wait for the mackerel
 
Aye Norman, I got a 13lber in november I think, caught on runny, squid & mussell while fishing for cod :casstet:

I was joking about the ling bait (sorry Clare) Ian & Clare have bought a pair of border terrier puppies called LING & BAIT
 
OK Keith, I think I`ve thrown enough cans over to cover my losses on the first double and the ling double so lets look at a clean slate and go for the first 15lb ling between you and Ian :) :) :) (I`ll sort my net to catch the cans you have to throw across LOL)
