well there's fishermen and there's fishermen 12/3/11

well headed down to walkway for 3.30pm fished till 5pm rag and lug the bait nowt but small stuff so thought l would head for shields pier only gonna fish first gate could'nt be bothered to walk up pier got there everybody sick as a chip the word on there lips was your wasting your time been nothing but small stuff so had to give in and head up to end of pier met ian up there had a couple of cast got a canny whity then by 8.30 rod went ballistic struck in to it first cod 2lb 8oz then a couple casts later a nice dab by 9.30pm ian had enough he had been down since 9am so he headed home l stayed filleted my fish just put the fillets in to my bag and into another good fish of 2lb 13oz the knock l got off it thought it was a gull rapped round my line put up a good fight then an hour passed nothing happening as soon as l picked my rod up to reel in one almight thump got it and to my suprise my biggest poutting 2lb dead on so it was well worth the walk up put pouting back and headed home at 12.30am

Nice fish mate, well done. I had a similar knock on saturday but mine was a seagull. Managed to free it but the price was a relining, worth it though I thought.
