Going out the nite with my uncle gonna try seaham i think any advce round that area as never fished it b4 would be appriciated. Caught a nice 2lb cod off north pier 2 weeks ago b4 snow cum . Jst thought id share that with yous haha

well didnt end up going to seaham got there and was bit ruff for my uncle so headed off to french mans bay but was also a night mare low water pritty ruff so went to the deckin bit further up on the corrner had sum cany worms and sum crab fished 3/4 hours and didnt get 1 nock loads weed and **** in the water . put it down to all the snow in the river as not even 1 bite to much fresh water . any way out the nite high tide still got bait left gonna try beach castin down the stairs at marsden any piticular places along there were to fish? thanks FISHERMAN

DEFFO OUT THE NITE BIT BEACH CASTING NOWT LIKE IT AND U NEVER NO TONITE MITE JUST BE THAT NITE . STAYING WELL AWAY FROM THE RIVERS THERE FULL OV FRESH WATER BUT IM DEFO HITING THE COAST MARKS WEVE HAD SUM GOOD SEAS PAST FEW WEEKS THERE WILL BE FISH AROUND ITS JUST FINDING WERE HA HITING MARSDEN BEACH HALF 8 EVEN IF I GET NOWT LEAST I TRYD CAN NOT CATCH FISH OFF MY COUCH HAHA

hahha well am glad i went out like coz ive getting a cracker off marsden beach im un sure ov wat it is but have been told its a bream havent had this confirmd yet but its an very unsuall specimen its 1 ive never seen before and is probably rare to catch . discription BIG silver thing with a very big yellow eye lol carnt wait to get it id propley. will get pics up its a bout 4/5 pound few colie and very small baby codling but that fish has made my nite get in there hahah :red:

Sounds like it's a Rays Bream. They are banned from fishing competitions as the are often washed up on the shore, and no proof of one being caught on rod and line.

thats wat it is m8 been on google and uve hit the nail on the head i foul hooked id through it gill was a big fish like its in the oven now cooking read sum thing about worms in them how do u no if theyve got them are they in there bellys? first rays bream defo rember it like was good crack gald i was out nice nite for it wasnt even cold .

deffo sounds like a rays bream i only know of one other being caught by rod and line and it took rag in a comp well done mate suppose to be a nice eating fish
