Hi all, 1st post for a newbie :yltype:

I'm off for a weeks fishing/touring on the west coast at the end of July, just wondered if anyone had fished and had tips for marks for some of the areas I'm fishing? Largs, Isle of Bute, Oban, Fort William and Ayr.
Very new into shore fishing and not had too much experience but getting there slowly.

Not much at Largs- maybe a few Dogfish off the beach.

Six miles up the road to Wemyss Bay, red rocks for Mackerel, maybe the odd Wrasse and small Saithe.

The odd seatrout 2 miles further up at Inverkip, beside the Marina

Isle of Bute - Off the pier for Mackerel, but busy in summer. Ettrick Bay rocks can produce a few decent Pollack, as can Rhubodach point.

Can't help with the rest I'm afraid. Pm me if you need directions

Cheers for that Kayos, got my routes planned out, been to Bute a few years ago but not fishing so an Island map may be needed (also fishing Loch Fad for trout while on there), got numbers for bait shops etc but hopefully try and collect fresh stuff on the day, got the tide info so just need the fish to play nicely now.

Michael.
