FISHING REPORT 21/10/08
Winter tactics are definitely coming into their own now. Use intermediate lines or weighted flies to get down to the fish. Bloodworms, Zonkers etc have been taking fish this week, or the ever faithful blob under an indicator. Fish the lures slowly for best results. For the purists Buzzers have also been working this week either black or brown patterns.
There have been some very good catches this week the best probably being that of John Morrison of Newcastle who landed 12 fish in total including a Rainbow of 17lb and a nice Brown trout of 4lb. William Jobling of darlington landed 7 fish in total all caught on a White Zonker and his fishing partner Peter Stephenson caught five fish all on Olive Zonkers. Ian Thornberry of Darlington landed a total of 13 fish but would not reveal his fly with the forthcoming Winter League matches about to start.
